Management
Robert Grimes, Partner
Robert Grimes is Managing Partner of Sprint Pipeline Services. As Managing Partner, Robert is responsible for the daily management and scheduling for all company operations. His duties include, job planning and scheduling, safety and compliance, employee development, equipment and personnel dispatch, and material acquisition, among others.
Robert brings extensive experience in the pipeline and construction industries to his position as Sprint Pipeline Managing Partner. Robert has received a number of certifications through various training including, Excavation Safety, Underground Damage Prevention, Huntsman 40 Hour Emergency Response Training – Technician Level, Huntsman 40 Hour HazWoper – Technician Level, 8 Hour Trimble Pathfinder, 8 Hour Hazard Awareness and 8 Hour Valve Maintenance/Repair.
Robert’s commitment to his job and his commitment to safety and compliance go hand in hand. He is one of a few National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Master Trainers. With this certification Robert is certified to educate and conduct performance verifications.
Jon Johnson, Partner
Jon Johnson is Managing Partner of Sprint Pipeline Services. As Managing Partner, Jon is responsible for the business development, marketing, accounts payable and receivable, and purchasing for the company. His duties include daily cost control, maintaining customer relations, marketing material development and managing bid assignments, among others.
Above all else, job safety, education and compliance are Jon’s top priorities. He is a National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) ICTP Performance Evaluator and achieved Pipeline Maintenance Technician – Instructor Status. He is also an active member of the Houston Pipeliner’s Association and Petroleum Club of Houston.
In addition to his professional commitments, Jon is extremely involved in the community. He serves on the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Safety Committee and International Committee. He is also active in multiple children’s advocacy charities.
Mark Thane, General Manager
Mark Thane is General Manager of Sprint Pipeline Services. As General Manager, Mark is responsible for bidding and managing all Sprint Pipeline projects, dispatching crews, and expediting equipment and materials. He provides continuous involvement in the company’s day-to-day business development, prospecting, and sales generating activities.
Mark’s experience includes a variety of positions within the construction and pipeline industry, including the positions of equipment manager, project manager and estimator. This experience helps Mark lead efforts to continuously improve safety and compliance standards, while streamlining operations.
In addition to his professional commitments, Mark enjoys golfing, collecting guns, working on his car, and spending time with family and friends.
